When Ishani and Reyansh reached in the hall they decided whom will go with whom as they have three cars -  Their parents in one car , Shreya Dadi Yuvaan and Avyansh in another one and Reyansh, Ishani ,Ekanshi and Ashirit in the last one . They stepped into their cars and drove toward the Golden Temple. As soon as they reached, a quiet feeling took over. The beautiful sound of shabads playing softly, the calm water of the holy Sarovar, and the sight of the golden temple shining in the morning sun-it all felt magical.

Before entering, they all stopped to wash their feet and hands. It was part of the respect, part of the faith.

Everyone covered their heads-men with handkerchiefs or turbans, and women with dupattas. Ishani gently helped Dadi with her scarf. Reyansh saw that and smiled quietly. She always took care of little things.

They entered the Golden Temple slowly, walking barefoot. The floor was cool, and the sound of the holy chants surrounded them. It felt peaceful, like all the worries stayed behind.

Inside, they all stood in silence, joining hands and bowing their heads before the Guru Granth Sahib. Ishani closed her eyes and prayed deeply, not just for herself-but for Reyansh, for their families, for their future together.

Reyansh stood right behind her, watching her from the corner of his eye. She looked so calm and graceful, like she belonged in that moment. He wasn't always the religious kind, but today, he felt thankful-for meeting her, for everything changing in such a quiet and beautiful way.

They started walking around the Guru Granth Sahib, taking slow rounds as per tradition. During the very first round, Reyansh gently held a corner of Ishani's dupatta between his fingers. Everyone noticed including the Granthi sitting in front of the holy book. He looked at them and smiled, The families watched silently from behind. Sunidhi and Kirti saw the small gesture and shared a smile. Dadi whispered to Shreya, "Dekha? Inke toh bina shaadi ke hi phere ho rhe hai."

Shreya giggled and nodded.

Ishani, unaware, kept walking slowly, eyes lowered in peace. It was during the last circle that she felt something tug at her dupatta. She looked back and saw Reyansh still holding it. Their eyes met. She froze for a second, heart racing.

Reyansh smiled, not saying a word. Ishani quickly looked away, blushing hard.

As soon as the prayer ended, they bowed their head in front of Guru Granth Sahib . The Granthi blessed  them silently,He picked up the white chaur sahib (a soft fan used to shower blessings) and softly waved it over them while smiling. After that  they all sat down together near the holy water, taking in the peaceful view. Reyansh leaned toward Ishani and whispered softly, "Chalo, Punjabi style shaadi toh ho gayi aapke sath."

Ishani widened her eyes and looked at him, then quickly looked down again, biting her lip to hide her smile. Her cheeks had turned red.

Later, they all joined the langar sewa. Ishani tied her dupatta properly and walked toward the big vessels. Reyansh stood quietly and just watched her. The way she moved carefully, helped the elders, smiled at the little kids everything about her felt warm.

While serving rotis, a kid ran into Ishani by mistake, and her dupatta slipped a little. Before she could fix it, Reyansh stepped behind her, gently lifted the edge, and fixed it on her shoulder without saying anything. Ishani's hands paused mid-air, her breath caught. She didn't turn. But her ears had turned red.

Reyansh just went back to his place, smiling to himself.

After langar, everyone sat on the marble edge of the Sarovar, dipping their feet in the cold water. Ishani and Reyansh's families sat together, chatting softly. Shreya teased Ishani about the phere, and Ishani couldn't say a word, only looked at her with wide eyes.

For a few minutes, their families got busy taking photos and talking. Reyansh and Ishani were left alone near the back side of the temple.

They didn't speak much. Just sat quietly, watching the golden building reflect in the water.

After a moment, Reyansh spoke, voice calm and true, "Aaj kuch alag laga, Ishani. Jaise sab kuch thik ho raha ho."

Ishani looked at him, nodded slowly.Their hands rested close, not touching. Just the silence, the soft prayers in the background, and the breeze.

As they left the temple that evening, walking slowly through the marble path, the sky had turned a soft orange. The whole place glowed.

Before getting into the car, Reyansh looked at Ishani and said, "Mujhe lagta hai, yaha se kuch naya shuru hua hai."

Ishani didn't reply, but her eyes had the same feeling. She just smiled and nodded again. And that smile, soft and shy, said everything her words didn't.After spending such a peaceful and beautiful day at the Golden Temple, everyone walked toward the cars to return to the hotel.

Shreya, Dadi, Yuvaan,  Avyansh ,Ashirit and Ekanshi settled in one.Sunidhi, Abhay, Kirti, and Ishani's parents sat in another. And in Reyansh's car-only Reyansh and Ishani were left.No one said anything about it. Everyone just smiled softly and gave them space.

Ishani quietly sat in the front passenger seat. She was still feeling shy from what had happened inside the temple-the phere, the teasing, and Reyansh's soft words. She sat quietly, adjusting her dupatta, looking outside the window.

Reyansh came and took the driver's seat.

For a few moments, he didn't start the car. He just looked at her.

"Ishani," he said gently.

She turned towards him, but her eyes didn't meet his. She looked down, her fingers playing with the edge of her suit.

Reyansh smiled slightly and said in a soft voice, "Hamari taraf dekhiye, Ishani."

But she didn't.She stayed still, her cheeks slightly pink.Reyansh leaned a little and gently placed his fingers under her chin, lifting her face so she had no choice but to look at him.Her eyes slowly met his.

"Agar aap aise sharmaayengi," he whispered warmly, "to humein kaise pyaar nahi aayega aap par?"Ishani's breath caught for a second. She didn't speak.

Reyansh just smiled-calm, soft, honest-and leaned forward. He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. But he didn't move away quickly. His lips stayed there for a few seconds, like he wanted her to feel every bit of love and respect in that one small touch.

When he finally moved back, his eyes still held the same warmth.

"Ab to patni ban chuki hain aap," he said with a little grin, "Puri tarah se hamari ho gayi hain."

Ishani's face turned red again. But this time, she gathered a little courage.

She softly said, " Or Aap... hamare."

Her voice was almost a whisper, and her eyes quickly looked away after saying that.Reyansh paused. He hadn't expected that reply. He looked at her, surprised for a second but then smiled, heart full.

"Main to aapka hi tha, Ishani," he replied gently, "Jabse aapko dekha tha."

There was silence in the car after that.

But it wasn't empty. It was filled with emotions-gratitude, calm, and a quiet kind of love. They didn't need to say anything more.Because in that silence, everything was already understood. After that moment, the car became quiet again.

But this time, it wasn't the kind of silence that felt awkward.

It was peaceful.Comfortable.The kind of silence where two people don't need words - just presence.

Reyansh started the car, and soft music played in the background. Ishani looked out the window, but her hand rested gently on her lap, and Reyansh glanced at her every now and then with a soft smile he gently hold her hand.

He didn't say much. He didn't need to.

Ishani, though still shy, felt her heart calming. She slowly started smiling too, remembering everything that had happened inside the Golden Temple - the peace, the prayers, the langar, their families, and... the way Reyansh had held her dupatta during the sacred circles.

She smiled even more remembering how the Granthi had blessed them with white chaur sahib right after, and how her family teased her, and how Reyansh had whispered playfully in her ear,"Shadi ho gayi aapki, Ishani. Ab to officially hamari ban chuki hai,in  Punjabi style."

Her cheeks flushed again.Reyansh noticed her blushing and asked, still driving, "Kya soch rahi hain aap?"

"Nothing," she said quickly, avoiding his eyes.

"Hmm," he smirked, "Kahin mere baare mai to nahi.."

She doesn't reply to this and start watching out of the window again .They both smiled - and just like that, the long ride back to the hotel passed in laughter, teasing, and moments of soft glances that said more than words.By the time they reached the hotel, the sun had started setting. The others had already reached and were talking in the lounge area.

Reyansh parked the car and got out. He quickly came around and opened the door for Ishani.

As she stepped out, her sandal's strap slipped. Before she could bend down, Reyansh knelt without a word and helped fix it gently. She looked around nervously, hoping no one was watching.

"Reyansh..." she whispered.

"Haan ?" He saw towards her and noticed her nervousness"Patni ho meri. Yeh toh allowed hai," he smiled, teasing her again.

She hit his shoulder lightly and walked ahead, trying to hide her smile.Their parents and Shreya saw them entering and exchanged knowing glances.

Shreya said loud enough for everyone to hear even for Reyansh and Ishani too "Kya jodi hai na dono ki... ekdum rab ne bana di."Everyone start smiling and laughing on her teasing including Reyansh and Ishani was as always blushing. After that everyone goes to their room for rest.

In night, everyone gathered again in the hotel restaurant for dinner.Ishani sat beside her mother, while Reyansh sat opposite her.Their eyes met a few times during the meal - short, gentle glances.

Reyansh would softly smile.

Ishani would quickly look away.

After dinner, while the rest of the family stayed downstairs talking, Ishani and Reyansh slowly walked toward the lift.Just before the door closed, Reyansh leaned in slightly and said in a soft voice:

"Aaj ki shaam perfect thi. Aapki wajah se."

Ishani smiled shyly. The lift doors closed, and the day ended not with loud excitement......but with a soft warmth in both of their hearts.

They were not just two people getting married anymore. They were two souls who had started truly seeing what they meant to each other. And silently, deeply, both thanked Waheguru for writing them into each other's life.
