Next morning, just like always, both Reyansh and Ishani got ready for their offices. While stepping out, both thought to talk with each other after reaching office.

Reyansh thought that as soon as he reached his office, he would call Ishani. But as soon as he stepped into his office, his assistant came rushing towards him,"Sir, there's some urgent issue with the new project. The clients are already waiting in the meeting room."

Reyansh's mood turned a little serious"Right now? Okay, let's go."

The thought of an unexpected meeting made him a bit tense. But just when he was heading towards the meeting room, his phone buzzed in his pocket.

He quickly pulled it out and smiled the moment he saw the name flashing - Ishani calling.

"Aaj madam ne khud call kiya... Progress is good," he thought to himself with a soft chuckle, feeling a little lighter already.

Ishani's POV....

Ishani woke up a little late today. As soon as she opened her eyes, she checked her phone, like every morning - hoping to see a sweet good morning message from Reyansh.

But today, there was nothing.

She felt a tiny pinch in her heart. Without thinking too much, she typed a small message herself:
"

Good morning, Reyansh..."and sent it, a little nervously.

She then quickly got ready, following her usual routine, and left for her office.Once she reached her desk, she checked her phone again, hoping for a reply. But still... nothing.

"Why hasn't he messaged or replied today? He even started calling in the mornings... what happened today?"
she thought, a bit worried.Unable to hold herself back, she called him.

As soon as Reyansh saw Ishani's name flashing on his phone screen, a soft smile appeared on his face. Without wasting a second, he turned to his personal assistant standing beside him.

"Go inside and inform everyone that I'll join the meeting after ten minutes. This call is important and I can't delay it," Reyansh said firmly.

The assistant, seeing the seriousness in his tone, quickly nodded and left for the meeting room.

Reyansh took a deep breath and answered the call.
"Hello?" he said warmly.

Even before his voice fully settled, Ishani's worried voice came rushing from the other side,
"Hello Reyansh... sab thik hai na?"

Hearing the concern in her voice he immediately realised why she is asking this , Reyansh's heart melted instantly.
"She's worried about me..." he thought, feeling an unusual warmth inside. Though he understood why she was asking, he still decided to tease her a little.

"Aap aise kyun pooch rahi hain, Mrs. Agarwal?" he asked, hiding his smile.

Ishani quickly realized her own anxiety and, without thinking much, blurted out,
"Aaj aapne naa koi text kra , na call kra subhe or abhi tk reply bhi nhi kia isliye "

Hearing her innocent complaint, his heart felt even fuller. He couldn't stop himself from teasing her gently,"Aap wait kar rahi thi hamare message ka?"

Only then did Ishani realize what she had just admitted. She bit her lower lip nervously and stuttered,"N-nahi..."

Reyansh chuckled softly,"Sach bol bhi dijiye, Mrs. Agarwal..."

There was a soft pause from Ishani's side. After a few seconds, almost in a whisper, she said,
"Shayad..."

Reyansh leaned his head back against the wall, smiling wide, savoring her shy honesty.
"Iss 'shayad' ka 'haan' mein badalne ka intezaar rhega," he said in a low, tender voice.

Ishani stayed quiet, her cheeks heating up, not knowing what to say next.

Sensing her silence, Reyansh softened his voice,
"Aaj subah jab utha tha... phone dead tha. Isliye na main message kar paya, na call. Aur jab phone charge hua, tab tak main thoda busy ho gaya tha. Socha office pahunch kar sab kuch karunga... par jaise hi aaya, ek urgent meeting aa gayi."

He paused for a second and added gently,"Abhi bas meeting room mai hi jaa rha tha ... tbhi socha ki meeting se free hoke aapko call krunga tb tak aapka call aagya."

Ishani listened silently, her heart beating just a little faster."Meeting hai toh aap jaaiye... hum baad mein baat kar lenge," she said softly, trying not to disturb him further.

But Reyansh chuckled and replied,"Nahi aap baat kariye ,Meeting thoda wait kar sakti hai. Aap mere liye hrr meeting or hrr chiz se jyada important hai Mrs. Agarwal."

Ishani's cheeks turned a deeper shade of pink."J-jaiye... jaakar meeting attend kijiye... all the best," she whispered shyly.

Reyansh smiled wider at her innocence and mischief gleamed in his voice as he said,
"Theek hai... par jaane se pehle ek chhoti si request... ek selfie bhej dijiye abhi ki. Bas aise hi, sharmate hue dekhna hai aapko."

Hearing this, Ishani immediately gasped and quickly said,"Bye!",cutting the call without giving him a chance to tease her more.

Reyansh chuckled to himself, staring at the phone screen for a moment, feeling lighter than he had all morning.

With a small laugh and a refreshed heart, he tucked his phone into his pocket and finally made his way towards the meeting room.

But somewhere inside him, he already knew -
No matter how many meetings or how many responsibilities... Ishani's call, her voice, her presence... would always come first.

After the meeting ended, Reyansh was fuming with anger. Without talking to anyone, he walked straight into his cabin, shutting the door behind him.

Frustrated, he immediately picked up his phone and messaged Ishani:"Hi..."

At that time, Ishani had just finished a small task and was checking her phone.
Seeing Reyansh's message, she smiled softly and instantly replied,"Hi... how was your meeting?"

Reyansh stared at her message for a moment, his anger softening just a little. He quickly typed back."Can I video call you? Please?"

The moment Ishani read that message, she sensed something was wrong.Without any second thought, she herself video called him.

Reyansh picked up the call immediately. The moment he saw Ishani's face on the screen, a little of his frustration began to melt away.

"What happened?" Ishani asked gently, her eyes filled with concern.

Reyansh leaned back in his chair, running a hand through his hair, and said,"Because of one mistake by the head team... we have to start the entire project again from the beginning and....."he leave a heavy sigh after saying this.

Ishani listened patiently as his voice grew calmer just by talking to her."And... what else?" she asked softly.

Reyansh sighed,"Tomorrow morning... I have to leave for Australia for a week."

Hearing that, Ishani tilted her head slightly and smiled gently,"So what happened? Why are you worrying so much?"

Reyansh looked at her, his eyes softer now, and said in a low voice,"I'll be very busy there... and the time difference will be huge too. How will I even talk to you properly? I've attended many International meeting before too but this time it is feeling different Ishani."

Ishani's heart warmed at his words. She smiled a little more brightly and said in a teasing, comforting tone,"It's just a matter of one week, Mr. Kapoor."

The moment she called him Mr. Kapoor, Reyansh couldn't help but smile - a real, genuine one that even surprised him a little.

He kept looking at her without saying anything, his eyes tender.Seeing his gaze, Ishani got nervous and quickly added,"Woh... aap mujhe Mrs. Agarwal bulate hai na... isliye maine bhi aapko Mr. Kapoor bula Diya..."

Reyansh chuckled softly and said,"I liked it... your calling me yourself today... your worrying for me..."He paused, looking at her a little deeper, "...and now this."

Ishani lowered her eyes shyly and whispered,"Ab ye toh karna hi hai na hume..."

Reyansh leaned a little closer to the screen, his voice turning even softer,"Kyun?"

Ishani bit her lip lightly and after a tiny pause, said in a very soft voice,"Shaadi hone wali hai na hamari..."

Reyansh smiled hearing it, but some part of him wanted to hear even more.Teasing her lightly, he asked,"Bas... sirf isliye?"

Ishani understood what he was trying to make her say, but still, blushing hard, she softly nodded and said,"Haan... bas isliye..."

Reyansh and Ishani continued talking for a little while, laughing and teasing each other. Slowly, all the tension from Reyansh's mind faded away.

But soon, Ishani had to excuse herself for some urgent office work."Main thodi der mein call karti hoon, Reyansh...Client aaye hai," she said softly before hanging up.

The rest of the day passed in a blur for both of them - busy with meetings, files, and endless work.Late in the evening, Reyansh glanced at the time and instantly thought of Ishani. Without wasting a second, he picked up his phone and called her.

Ishani picked up after two rings, her voice soft and calm, "Hello?"

"Kya kar rahi ho?" Reyansh asked, his tone instantly relaxing hearing her voice.

"Bas ghar jaa rahi thi..." Ishani answered, sounding a little tired but happy too.

"Accha? Main bhi bas ab nikla hoon office se," Reyansh said, smiling. "Chalo, ghar jaake free hoke araam se baat karte hain."

"Theek hai," Ishani replied sweetly.

At Reyansh's House

Reyansh quickly changed into comfortable clothes and sat down with his family for dinner.

As they ate, he casually informed them, "Mujhe kal Australia jaana padega ek hafte ke liye... urgent project issue hai."

Sunidhi looked at him with concern, "Tumne Ishani ko bata diya hai na?"

Reyansh smiled and nodded, "Haan mummy, subah hi bata diya tha."

Just then, Shreya, with a teasing grin, added, "Haan haan taiji, ab sabse pehle har baat bhabhi ko hi batayenge na, hai na bhaiya?"

Everyone burst out laughing while Reyansh shyly looked down at his plate, a soft blush creeping up his face.

Sunidhi couldn't resist teasing him a little more, "Ohooo blushing blushing ....pehle ek smile Karna mushkil Hota tha ink liye or ab dekho."

Reyansh quickly finished his meal and excused himself, "Main thoda kaam kar leta hoon room mein..." he mumbled and rushed upstairs.

In His Room

Reyansh carried his laptop to his bed, settling against the headboard. As he worked, he picked up his phone and messaged Ishani,"Free ho gayi kya?"

After about 10 minutes, Ishani replied,"Haan, bas abhi free hui..."

Seeing her message, Reyansh immediately dialed her number.
Ishani picked up quickly this time.

"Hello Mrs. Agarwal," he said warmly.

"Hello Mr. Kapoor," she answered, smiling softly.

There was a small, sweet silence before Reyansh spoke, "Suniye."

"Boliye..." Ishani said, playing with the corner of her dupatta shyly.

"Main kal jaa raha hoon na... toh kya hum aaj thodi jyda Der baat kr skte hai..." Reyansh's voice was softer than usual.

Ishani smiled lightly, her heart feeling a strange emptiness thinking about his one-week trip.
"Main bhi soch rahi thi ki aap se zyada baat kar loon..." she said very quietly.

Reyansh chuckled sweetly, "Achha? Toh aap mujhe miss karengi?"

Ishani bit her lip shyly, "Woh... shayad..."

"Shayad?" Reyansh teased softly. "Mujhe toh pura bharosa tha ki aap mujhe bahut miss karengi."

Ishani gave a small laugh, "Aapko boht confidence hai apne upar."

"Nahi Mrs. Agarwal... confidence aap par hai," he said genuinely.Ishani's cheeks turned pink, but she controlled her smile.

After a pause, Reyansh spoke in a much gentler tone, "Main har roz try karunga aap se baat karne ka, chahe kitna bhi busy rahoon... par agar kabhi late ho gaya, toh please naraz mat hoiyega..."

"Nahi Hongi , Mujhe pta hai aap busy rhenge frr thak bhi to jyenge na" Ishani promised softly, her voice carrying all the sweetness in the world.

They stayed on call, talking about small random things - favorite food, weather, small office gossip - just to steal a few more moments before the coming distance.

For Reyansh, hearing Ishani's soft laughter was enough to lift away all the tiredness of the day.
And for Ishani, just knowing he would think of her even from miles away was enough to keep her heart light.

After talking for a little while longer that night, Reyansh and Ishani both finally went to sleep.

Even though Ishani tried not to show it, a small sadness lingered in her heart.
He'll be so far... for a whole week, she thought before closing her eyes.

The Next Morning

Reyansh woke up early, around 5:30 AM, got ready quickly, and finished his packing.
Before leaving for the airport with his father, he sent a text to Ishani:

"Awake?"

Ishani, who had woken up early too - thanks to a restless night - immediately saw his message and called him instead of replying.

"Hello Reyansh...Aap kitni der mein jaa rahe ho?" she asked in a soft, sleepy voice.

"Bas nikalne waala hoon ab," Reyansh said, adjusting his watch.

"Dhyan rakhiyega... aur tension bilkul mat lijiyega," Ishani said lovingly, her voice filled with care.

Reyansh smiled, feeling lighter just hearing her.
"Aap bhi apna khayal rakhna... aur jaise hi time milega, main call karunga," he promised.

"Theek hai... bye Mr.Kapoor," Ishani whispered.

"Bye Mrs. Agarwal," Reyansh chuckled lightly before disconnecting the call.

With one last glance at her contact name on his phone, Reyansh headed toward the airport with his father.
By 7 AM, his private jet took off for Australia.

Twelve Hours Later...........

Around evening India time, Ishani's phone buzzed. It was a message from Reyansh,"Reached."

Seeing his message, Ishani felt a tiny breath of relief escape her lips."Thank God safely phoch gaye..." she whispered to herself."Ok"she replied.

Meanwhile, Reyansh, after landing, didn't even get much time to rest. He went straight to his hotel, quickly freshened up, and got pulled into back-to-back meetings regarding the new project issues.

At Ishani's House

Ishani had gotten up early too - because she didn't sleep well at night. After her quick morning call with Reyansh, she got ready, had breakfast with her family downstairs, and left for her office.

But her day wasn't going too well. Her mind kept wandering back to him.

'He really wasn't joking... I'm actually missing him,' she thought, smiling sadly to herself while sitting at her desk.

She opened her laptop, tried to focus, but her heart felt unusually heavy. And this is just the first day... six more days to go... she sighed.

The clock seemed to move slower than usual today. She looked at her phone again, thinking ... Should I message him?But then she remembered how busy he must be and decided against disturbing him.

Still, her heart whispered quietly, "Come back soon, Mr. Kapoor..."
